Eden Golf and Country Club is pleased to announce that through the Canada Summer Jobs Program, Eden has been approved to hire 4 positions for the 2021 season.

 

To qualify under the program applicants must be between the ages and 15 and 30 and be permitted to work in Canada.  Each position will be for an eight-week period. 

 

The positions will be primarily for on-course work:

 

Work Term/Hours:  

  • Approximately June to October 
  • 35 hours/week. Competitive hourly wage
  • Some weekend work will be required

 

Key job responsibilities:

  • Operation of mowers
  • General landscaping duties
  • Follow all safety and health guidelines.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Moderate lifting required
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently

 

Experience:

  • While experience is an asset, training will be provided to the suitable candidates

Eden has a need for On-Course groundkeepers for the 2021 season.  The position reports to the Foreman and operates both in a team environment with the ability to work independently.  

Work Term/Hours:  

  • Immediate opening(s) to the end of October  
  • 40 hours. Competitive hourly wage
  • Operates 7 days /week.

Key job responsibilities:

  • General Landscaping duties
  • Use of machinery to maintain the golf course including mowers, tractors, weed eaters, hand help gardening tools, etc.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Work within a team environment and independently 
  • Moderate lifting and manual work required.

Education and Experience:

  • Previous golf course and/ or landscaping experience would be an asset but will train the right candidate.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • Approximately April 1st to October 31st.  
  • 35-40 hours. Competitive hourly wage
  • Operates 7 days /week.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Taking and recording tee times reservations.
  • Collect monies for memberships, green fees, other golf fees and retail sales.
  • Complete daily sales summaries.
  • Maintain general order and cleanliness in the Pro Shop.
  • Adhere to all safety and health guidelines.
  • Remain courteous with patrons at all times.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task.
  • High level of communication skills.
  • Moderate lifting required.
  • Good computer skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Retail experience or previous Pro Shop /Golf experience would be an asset but will train the right candidate.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
